I am studying molecular and cellular biology with a minor in psychology, and have been involved in multiple organizations. I am in the Hopkins Concert Orchestra and serve on the executive board for SHARE (Supporting Hospitals Abroad with Resources and Equipment) and MEDLIFE (Medicine, Education, and Development for Low Income Families Everywhere). I attended a service learning trip to Lima, Peru with MEDLIFE, and also had a mentorship under Dr. Khalid Yousuf last year. I am on the Dean’s list in my class and enjoy teaching children with ASK (Applying Science with Kids).”

I am a member of the Duke Student Governing body as well as a number of service and racial advocacy organizations on campus. I am very passionate about medicine and serving my community and as such, I one day hope to serve as a physician in my community. My dream job is to work with the National Institute of Health or the Center for Disease Control to fight diseases worldwide in humanitarian efforts. During my free time, you’ll often find me playing intramural basketball with friends, enjoying the outdoors, and reading.”
